Preconstruction

As part of our company, we have a robust team of project managers and scheduling professionals, estimators, and marketing team members that contribute to all preconstruction efforts when bidding on a job with the Federal Government. Below is an overview of each of these department’s capabilities:

Scheduling: All scheduling is done with Primavera Schedule Software (P6) using the Critical Path Method, a technique for process planning that defines critical and non-critical task with the goal of preventing time-frame problems and process bottlenecks. When responding to an RFP, our estimating team works with our project managers to put together a preliminary project schedule by closely studying the contract documents and relying on their years of experience successfully scheduling hundreds of projects. They also seek input during the preliminary scheduling on our bids from major subcontractors who are able to advise on their major scopes of work to ensure the schedule is accurate before submission to our client. Combined, we have 5 estimators and 5 project managers ready to lend their expertise on your project and draw on their experience successfully developing and executing schedules for the USACE, Department of Veterans Affairs, USDA, and other Federal agencies.

Estimating: Our estimating staff is made up of our Chief Estimator and Lead Estimators. At the start of each project, the Chief Estimator assigns a Lead Estimator to develop the estimate for our clients, but also maintains an active presence to keep the estimate in focus as the proposal response is developed and finalized. Our estimating team spends lots of time attending a client’s site visit, developing detailed scope sheets for subcontractors, requesting additional information from clients, and working with subcontractors to get a fairest price from reputable, quality companies. Our awards to subcontractors are made based not just on competitive pricing but on sound reputations for safety and quality to ensure our clients get a fair price but also a quality project. With a team of 5 estimators, all with decades of experience in the industry on all types of construction, renovation, and repair projects, our team has the resources and qualified personnel to meet you needs.

Marketing: When responding to the Federal Government’s request for proposals, our marketing team of proposal managers and technical writers are ready to create and put together professional presentations for each of our clients. They have experience working with subcontractors, estimators, architects, and engineers to pull all the pieces together to ensure accurate and precise information for their audience. After a contract is awarded, they also allow us to meet client’s more conventional needs for marketing materials, such as press releases, formatting submittals, and creating promotional items.
